  4. EUROSTYLE TIMBER FLOORS PROCEDURE: 1. If the floor is top nailed, punch and putty nail holes with a similar floor colour putty. 2. Using a professional belt sander, sand the area repeatedly with course grit paper to remove dirt, grime, stains and old varnish and get floor back to original colour. 3. Sand the area with finer grit papers to remove indentations created by first rough sand to ensure the floor is even in colour.3-4 different sands dependent on the condition of the floor. 4. Sand all borders of the room where the drum sander can’t reach with hand held edger sander & orbital sander. 5. Sand corners with smaller triangle sander. 6. Go over entire area with a large mono-disk machine with extra fine sanding paper to ensure the surface is really smooth and smaller sanding marks are removed ready for coating. 7. Dust all the walls and give a thorough vacuum to the floor to reduce to a minimum dust particle on the surface of the floor. 8. Coat the area with the chosen varnish type allowing each coat to dry before the application of the next coat. 9. Sand in between coats where necessary to remove the raised timber grain.
