Indicators in favor of the criteria adopted by Scielo to select the journals • In the Year 2001: • Each of the 84 Scielo journals cited, in average, 13.7 Brazilians journals of which 5.6 were Scielo journals. • Each of the 84 Scielo journals cited, in average, 80.4 times Brazilian journals, of which 56.9 were to Scielo journals. • From the 206 Brazilian journals cited, 84 were Scielo journals, responsible for 70.7% of the citations and 122 were non-Scielo journals, which were responsible for 29.3% of the citations.
