Introduction Drink and Drive Safe is a movement which is aimed towards those that drink but wish to drive safely afterwards. It was born by philanthropist Toby Cruse. He witnessed a close friend being convicted of drink driving. This was a result of being stopped randomly by police. The friend realised that he was over the limit when blowing into a breathalyser the day after. Toby had already experienced the aftermath of drink driving. He didn’t want anyone else to experience such consequences such as job loss. There are set guidelines for legal limits of alcohol per micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. These are the same in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The value of this is 35 micrograms. In Scotland, this is 22 micrograms.
