  2. A Career in Fashion Photography Job Description: Fashion photographers work with models and fashion designers to capture photos that spark interest in the new styles and trends. They also help designers market their clothing to the public. Their photography is used for websites, magazines, print, ads and fashion houses.

  3. Education • Fashion photography careers do not require a degree. Even though an educational degree isn't necessary, fashion photographer hopefuls have to build an impressive portfolio in order to find the success needed. • Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography is considered by many professionals to be a minimum requirement for pursuing a career in the field.

Abilities and Skills • Ability to capture and set a certain mood • Knowledge in photo editing applications • Be able to take direction from others in order to coordinate with fashion stylists, art directors, agents and fashion editors • Bring out the best in models during photo shoots • Be able to produce unique, creative and artistic fashion photo concepts.

  5. Personal Skills • Have a good eye and be artistic • Ability to capture and set a certain mood • Eye for detail • Good communication and planning skills • Ability to work well in group settings • Success-driven

  6. Salary and Locations The salary for a fashion photographer ranges from 25,000-100,000 plus. Reputation is a key factor in increasing how much a photographer can earn. As a fashion photographer is a must to be able to travel to exotic locations. Jobs could be found everywhere.
