Seth Panitch first visited Cuba in December, 2006 In May, 2007 Seth assisted students from ISA in direction of production The Importance of Being Earnest. The first play he directed with actors from CNAE was Merchant of Venice in December, 2008 in Havana, Cuba He became the first American to direct a professional production through CNAE. Seth directed Cuban actors from CNAE in Midsummer Night’s Dream in August, 2009 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Theater Project

BEGINNINGS: Pick up course proposal and budget templates at Capstone International Center (CIC). These two templates will guide you through the program set-up process. Meet with CIC Director of Summer Programs and CIC Accountant. APPROVALS: Secure all faculty, department head, and Dean signatures. RECRUITING: CIC will create brochures and advertise your program campus wide with visits to classes, dorms, and interested student groups. Program directors will share brochures in their own classes. PAPERWORK: CIC collects/copies all student paperwork (insurance, privacy waivers, information release, emergency contact, etc.). STUDENT RECEIVABLES/FINANCIAL AID: CIC issues “Permit to Join” and students pays all program fees to Student Receivables by assigned dates. Summer Programs: Beginning to Beginning
WORKSHOPS: Program director attends CIC program director workshop with other new and returning directors. ORIENTATION: Program director conducts student orientation in conjunction with CIC. FINANCIAL: CIC handles the payment of all foreign and domestic invoices, salaries & benefits, etc. ENDINGS: Program Director submits the Director’s Report, student and program evaluations within two weeks of return.
