  2. Will Christ Come Again? • He promised He would (Jn. 14:1-3) • Jesus said, “…when He is revealed, we shall be like Him…” (1 Jn. 3:2) • Peter declared that some would scoff, but He was coming “as a thief in the night” (2 Peter 3:3-10)

  3. Will Christ Come Again? • Paul wrote often of His coming • Heb. 9:27-28—“…He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation” • 2 Thess. 1:7—He shall be “…revealed from heaven with His mighty angels” • 1 Thess. 4:16—“…with a shout, with the voice of an archangel” • Angels said He would come in like manner as He had ascended (Acts 1:10-11)

  4. How Will He Come Again? • Visible to all • In like manner (Acts 1:10-11) • “…every eye shall see Him” (Rev. 1:7) • Without warning (1 Thess. 5:1-3) • With His angels (2 Thess. 1:7; Matt. 25:31) • Noisily (1 Thess. 4:16-17; 1 Cor. 15:52)

  5. When Will He Come Again? • Many date setters have said they knew • A few denominations came out of this • 7th Day Adventists—JW’s • Despite failures, still others try • Only God knows this (Matt. 24:36) • We are to be prepared for it (Matt. 24:42)

  6. Then Comes The End • Not beginning, the end (1 Cor. 15:23-24) • Righteous & wicked raised (Jn. 5:28-29) • Dead in Christ, then living (1 Thess. 4:16-17) • Speedily (1 Cor. 15:52) • Judgment takes place (Jn. 12:48) • Dividing of “sheep and goats” (Matt. 25:32-34, 41, 46)
