Rock Canyon Baseball Striving For Excellence
Goals The goals of the Rock Canyon Baseball Program are as follows: • Build strong character in young men through the concept of Team Sports. • Develop amazing student athletes. Academics will always be #1! • Create a viable path to play baseball at the next level (college, minor leagues, etc) for any athlete that has that desire. Help facilitate scouting relationships and “best path” approach to reach these goals.
Goals…..(continued) • Encourage our young men to stay year round with the RC program. It is incumbent on the RC program to give a compelling reason for our players to “want” to play the Summer and/or Fall season with RC as well. Not just Spring baseball. Chemistry, camaraderie, friendships, and life long memories are built through high school sports. The Spring season is sooo short and these bonds can’t be fully developed just through a 16-18 game Spring season. • Support/encourage multi-sport athletes that play more than just baseball. A well-rounded athlete is a big part of the high school athletic experience. There is a reason why you have to be a multi-sport athlete to win “Athlete of the Year” at Rock Canyon.
Goals…..(continued) ……and…..STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
