  1. History Of Cars And Auto Transport Service Are you a history buff trying to get some insights into the inception of cars and auto transport companies? Or maybe you’re just someone who is curious about this industry? Well, whatever the case is, this guide is created just to provide you with some background on the cars you drive today and how its invention opened doors for a whole new industry; auto transportation. So make sure o stick to this brief history guide till the end to know all the important stuff. The Creation of Automobiles: Many people mistake Karl Benz as the inventor of the motor car, but that is not really true. The first mechanical automobile was invented by Nicholas Joseph Cugnot in the year 1769; seven years before the American Revolution began. The car was powered by steam and it was created for the war minister of France. However, due to its slow speed of 2.3 mph and operational difficulty, it did not go into mass production. The chapter of cars was finished at that them only to be revived after around 100 years when Amedee Bollee from France invented the steam car in 1873, having a capacity of 12 people. However, the creation did not take off because horses and buggers were faster than that. Then after more than 150 years, Germans and Americans took it upon themselves to make the car that had a bit more speed and after some efforts, Germans successfully invented a gasoline-powered car that could reach a speed of 10 mph and had 2 cylinders and 4 transmissions. However, the car still didn’t make it to mass production and it was actually America in the year 19001 that produced vehicles on a mass scale; the brands name was Oldsmobile. And then more brands started jumping into the automobile market including Henry Ford, Ferrari and so on. The inception of Car Transport Industry: Before the mass production and increase in demand of cars, only clothes, food and fuel were transported and that, via planes, railways or ships. In the 1930s, automobiles were the new hot rides in the market and millions were already produced. So to transport cars from factories to retail stores and from there to the houses of customers, some sort of transportation was needed. That’s where the auto transport industry started to flourish. Semi-trucks were used to take cars from one place to another and trains were also used for mass transportation. Since semi-truck were small in size, a very limited number of cars were transported. But then in the 1960s, Germans invented carrier rack that allowed trucks to take up to 10 cars at once. And that was the cornerstone that took the auto transport industry to new heights. Car Transport Industry Now: Nowadays, it is very different from what it was 50 years ago. Massive haulers have taken the place of semi-trucks. These trucks have better engines allowing them to move faster. The invention of GPS helps drivers navigate through the roads safely and find the addresses of customers in minutes.

  2. Furthermore, with the invention of enclosed containers, expensive and fragile cars like the vintage models can be safely transported across thousands of miles. And with the help of the internet and smartphones, brokers can arrange carriers fast and assign them to their customers. The whole system now works like a well-oiled machine. People can just log onto their phone, book an auto shipping company and have the carrier pick up their cars; no more hassle of going from office to office looking for a good company.
