  4. 6th GRADE SCHEDULE • English Every Day • Math Every Day (except MSM I and MS II) • Science (Semester) • History (Semester) • Health & PE • Elective • 2 Electives if in MSM I or MSM II

  5. ELECTIVE OPTIONS • Exploratory Rotation (1 Per 9 Weeks) • Band (Year Long) • Orchestra (Year Long) • Chorus (Year Long) • World Language (Year Long)

  8. 6th GRADE SOL TESTING • All 6th Grade Students will take the following SOL Tests: • English 6 • Math 6

  9. HOMEWORK MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS SHOULD EXPECT TO HAVE HOMEWORK EVERY NIGHT.

  10. TEAMING 6TH GRADE STUDENTS SPEND THE LARGEST PART OF THEIR DAY IN TEAMS. TEAMS CONSIST OF 3 OR MORE TEACHERS WHO TEACH ENGLISH, MATH, SCIENCE AND SOCIAL STUDIES.

  12. ATTENDANCE ARRIVAL TIME: 7:35 a.m. – 7:55 a.m. DISMISSAL TIME: 2:45 p.m. – 2:55 p.m. TARDIES.... ABSENCES... BLOCK SCHEDULING...

  13. MAKE UP WORK • May be requested on the 3rd consecutive day of an excused absence • Request may be made when you call in student’s absence no later than 8:30 a.m. • Assignments and books may be picked up in the front office after 3:00 p.m. the same day.

  14. BOOKBAGS Your bookbag must stay in your locker. “cinch bags” are permitted. Locker size!!!

  15. WALKING TO SCHOOL Only students with permission will be allowed to walk.
