Schedule for Completing Version 8.0 of the Field Guide (Phase 2 and Phase 3) • November, 2015– Final details of approved changes documented and available for pre-implementation work. • October-December, 2016 – Review of draft revision by all Bands - review comments due late Jan/early Feb 2015 • February, 2017 – Begin final revision • April, 2017– Deliver revised field guide to Information Management Band and FIA Regions • October, 2017 – Regions may begin implementing the new revision of the field guide 4
DAMAGES • New DAMAGE AGENT codes and corresponding Damage Thresholds are proposed to the DAB March 1st of each year • DAB damage team reviews each and finalizes these changes and a new field guide version is generated by April 1st of each year • IM and the MIDAS team edit MIDAS and the NIMS database for data collection and data capture by October 1st.
2016 NFS-FIA SA • Timeline: Due date of November 2, 2015 • Resources: DAB, AB, TB, IMB • Scope Review Nat’l SA & recommendations • Benefit Unified FIA recommendation to NFS • Drawback Regional approaches if not unified
FIA/CIO DATA SECURITY • Timeline: FY16 • Resources: DA Group Leads, Jay S., Liz B. • Scope: FIA Nat’l Corporate Security • Benefit: Protection of PII, Plot & Digital Data • Drawback: Potential for failed audits
National Ownership Mgt System (NOMS) • Timeline: Currently testing PNWRS; NRS & SRS by 2017 • Resources: IM Band with PNW & IW DA team members • Scope: National ownership application & database; single source of ownership info needed for NWOS • Benefits: Ease of system support in a national environment • Drawback: regional or station specific configurations
FIELD GUIDE REVISION OPTION 3 • Timeline: Field Guide v.9.0 – October 1, 2019 • Resources: High, but all regions commit the time and divide up tasks make it doable • Scope: National Data Collection, IM and IT after completion of PPD • Benefits: A guide that is better suited and adaptable to multiple indicators, plot types, and special studies as well as streamlined for better use in the field • Drawbacks: A large commitment of resources
