PROJECT GOALS • To replace the current vendor system due to legal issues • Need a user friendly system • Need access 24/7 • Need to maintain an updated library with limited resources
PROCESS STEPS TAKEN • Benchmarked with several companies • Developed some specifications and goals • Evaluated several commercially available solutions including DocuWercs, 3e Online, MSDS Solutions, and Dolphin Software • Developed pros and cons of various systems including costs and hosting solutions
PROCESS STEPS TAKEN • Submitted Request for Funding • Signed contract with The Wercs and Wercs Professional Services • Worked with Wercs Team to develop an implementation plan with milestones and responsibilities • Full implementation in April
Project Parameters • System to include vendor MSDS from Quaker Chemical, AC Products, EPMAR Corporation and Q2Technologies • 1600+ documents • Multiple vendors for the same material • Some MSDS available in EU format • Wanted vendor to review database and obtain new MSDS for any MSDS older than 3 years or to verify that it was the current version available l
