OPUOM Office of Provider Utilization and Outcome Management
OPUOM is responsible for the development of a comprehensive, community-based, coordinated network of provider services that reflects the Department of Family and Children Services’ (DFCS) values and principles. Through OPUOM, purchased services will be targeted, measured and developed with the goal of permanency for all children in care.
Contract Monitoring • Contract Monitoring is responsible for monitoring all performance by DFCS-contracted providers. Performance monitoring will include, but is not limited to the oversight of service deliverables outlined in the provider’s contract and specified performance-based outcome measures.
Technical Assistance • Technical Assistance is responsible for the provision of technical assistance to all DFCS-contracted providers with a focus on helping private contracted providers improve performance-based outcome measures (both programmatic and operational) and increase compliance with deliverables outlined in their contracts.
Network Development • Network Development is responsible for all DFCS purchased provider services (CCI, CPA, Family Preservation Programs, CCFA, ICPC, etc.) including conducting market research to determine service gaps throughout the state and the development of RFP’s and contracts to ensure the necessary array of services across Georgia.
