Background: Daira Din Panah is a big town situated 10 Km north from Kot Addu city. More than 85% of population is affected in recent Flood Disaster. Main reason for such damage is that most of the population consists of labor class and houses were built on conventional style, i.e. with the help of Mud, Bricks and Timber Girders. Resultantly, Flood water smashed those houses immediately and the habitants succeeded only to save their lives. Till date, relief work done by other Organizations includes Sahara for Life Trust and Pakistan Red Crescent. They distributed Tents and Food Items (Wheat Flour, Cooking Oil, Sugar, etc.). Some local NGOs also contacted them for providing food items for which tokens were also distributed among them 3 weeks ago but after that no contact was made.
Current Situation Habitants are living in miserable conditions as described below: • Residing in open spaces • Hygiene conditions are very poor • Insufficient bedding arrangements, clothes etc. • Habitants still waiting for the facility of Watan Card Scheme • For Medical Facility, an emergency hospital was established Approx. 5Km from the village with the help of Arab and Turkish government • Some of them got water proof sheets only in the early relief for shelter.
