Step 2 - Consider the opposite position on the given topic. • Brainstorm numerous examples that would negate / refute your thesis. • Develop these positions fully by using evidence, just as you did for the other side. • Then, convince readers why the opposite view is not as strong as yours.
Step 3 - Conclude with a call to action • Convince readers that something should be / should have been done with regards to your topic. • Briefly sum up the reasons given in your stand as to why people should support your views. • Concede that the other side has valid points, but that your arguments are stronger because of x, y, and z.
