  2. 2011 ActivitiesWhat have we been doing? • Set up and design of WV system • DIDE has been entering cases since March • All 2011 cases are being reported to CDC • System is very stable • No loss of data • Very little down time

  6. What has slowed us down… • Delay in award of CDC contract • Change in the vendor • Access issues from outside the DHHR network

  7. What’s coming in 2012… • By Jan 1 – all Regional Epis using “New” WVEDSS • Jan 1 – Regions 3 and 5 “Go Live” • LHD users begin using “New” WVEDSSS to report cases • 1st quarter – Regional trainings conducted in remaining regions

  8. What’s Coming in 2012…Training Details • Regional trainings • Regional epi will coordinate • Hands on computer training • Example cases you can enter

  9. What’s coming in 2012… • Mar 1 – Regions 1,2,4,6,7 & 8 LHD “Go Live” • LHDs begin using “New” WVEDSS to report cases

  10. Communication • Web page on DIDE website dedicated to “New” WVEDSS • Provide updates • New investigation forms • Conference call(s) • Written communication • Letters just out to LHD Administrators to update user information
