Goal for this Project • Town Zagreb starts project how to eliminate architect barriers in the town for handicapped people • KOREMA kept in Zadar 2003 – modern sistem of transportation
Target of the Project • Find out suitable technical solution to help handicapped people to overcome existing architect barriers without assistency of other people. • Find solution to protect platform plant from vandal task of irresponsible citisen.
Criteria for Stair Platforms • Easy to use for the people that are very weak and not able to use standard command pushbutton system that are normally supplied with stair platforms. A target criterion was that people that are able to drive their wheelchair with joysticks must be able to use those platforms without assistance
Criteria for Stair Platforms • A little investigation on the field of potential users showed that there exist many different enclosures that define shape and dimension of transmitters that are suitable for them. In our case we desided to use two type of transmitters
Criteria for Stair Platforms • Transmitter must have enough number of functions (6) that permit them comfortably realize all their demands during stair platform use • Two of transmitters that we have choosen enable usage of stair platforms to all of users in our application • T60TX – 06SHL as standard solution • T60TX – 06STL as special solution
Criteria for Stair Platforms • Mechanical part of installation must be dimensioned to carry up to 300 kg.(Motor energized wheelchair - 180 kg, user – 100 kg) • Make transport system resistant to vandals. This demand was realized on both ways: • With mechanical design • With omitting command pushbuttons that are visible on the installation
Criteria for Stair Platforms • All mechanical parts must be resident on applying force on the installation elementsto the degree which prevents standard vandals demages
Criteria for Stair Platforms • All other demands are generally defined with EU norms and directives. (Security shell, security emergency mechanical device for quick stopping of platform in hazard situation, rulers of communication between users’ remote control and drive machine and many similar security details)
Realization of Stair Platform • New mechanical and electrical parts were developed to satisfy above mentioned demands on this product. • No vizable electrical conductor and wires • No visable Command Pushbuttoms • No visable Contact Keys
Realization of Stair Platform • In development of electrical solution products of Tele Radio were very helpful • Transmitters coding enable very wide number of different ID codes - more than 990.000.000.000 cases. • Receiver permits full communication with transmitters from one side and with microprocessor device from other side in real time.
Realization of Stair Platform • For this project TeleRadio and ABC Mikrotrans have developed special design of receiver named T60RX – HR232. Once more time TeleRadio made more than user expected from them.
Realization of Stair Platform • Microprocessor unit has dual base duty • To communicate with users and to check their ID in data base • To control movement and secure whole installation and manage platform’s motors
Realization of Stair Platform • Beside above mentioned duty microprocessor unit also is responsible for: • Communication during updating database of users ID • Communication with other microprocessor unit into group installation • Communication with PC via Internet during exchanging of technical data of service.
How system works? • Each of stair platform has his own ID. This ID consist of three digits that are announced near platform station (for example 123, 265, 343 and similar) • When potential user arrives near platform station, enters announced number of the platform into his transmitter.
How system works? • If users transmitter’s ID is in the database of the microprocessor unit of the platform, control system permits to user to have full control over the platform plant. All other users are disabled from this platform plant up to current user does not finish his usage.
How system works? • Recognized user can: • Call platform in his station • Open platform • Board on the platform • Close security balustrade • Drive platform to destination station • Open security balustrade • Leave platform
How system works? • Close platform • Send platform in parking position • Check out from the platform control unit Last three tasks are optional for user. If user omits to do them, control unit will provide them automaticly. Once when circle of usage is finished, any other of potential users can check in platform control and use it for his purpose.
How system works? • Beside listed functions of control system, all security duties are provided during platform service like: • Recognition of barrier on the platform host way • Recognition of broken remote control link • Recognition of overload of the platform drives • Recognition of overspend of platform unit • Recognition of broken iron rope • Etc

Extend ability of the control system • Very similar or same control system is applied in the following tasks: • Lifts for handicapped people • Acustic traffic light • Small parking system with one traffic lane • Garage lifts • Access systems • Etc.
Development of Project • Development of the control system is in progress • Very soon we expect new version of control with extended abilities and reduced costs for end user.
