Educational use of New technologies • Wikis, blogs • Learning objects • Videos • Advanced Google • Facebook, twitter
Things to ponder …. How do you plan to have students submit assignments- paper, email, other electronic options available? Will you give them choices on how to hand it in? Will you have a plan B for if the technology crashes? What measures can you put in place to ensure student success? How do you think you will mark and give feedback- with a big red pen, comments on word, standardized feedback through an e-platform? My advice: Don’t jump into the deep end. Tackle one new thing at a time. Get into your comfort zone before trying something else.
What to keep in mind: • In next slides, I will show you many options available. • DON’T TRY THEM ALL IN ONE SITTING • So…listen and think about what appeals to you if you were a learner, learners skills and access to computers..etc….
