  3. Incomplete metamorphosis Ex: grasshoppers, termites, crickets

  4. • 3 stages Egg Nymph Eggs hatch into nymphs Nymph grows  molts (sheds exoskeleton) Molts many times Adult

  5. Complete metamorphosis Ex: butterflies, ladybugs

  6. • 4 stages Egg Larva Ex: maggots, caterpillars Eat and grow  molts (sheds skin) When stops growing, larva does not eat anymore Pupa – larva is changing inside into adult insect Adult
