  2. Keep a Journal • As you're reading your AR book, keep a reading journal. After every chapter you read, you will write a chapter summary. You can also include things like questions, thoughts, observations, revelations, etc. about the text.

  3. How To Set Up Your Journal Name (First and Last Name) Title of book Author’s Name # Chapters

  4. Innards of your journal Chapter 1 This is where you will write or type the summary of the chapter. Chapter 2 This is where you will write or type the summary of the chapter.

  5. Requirements • Must be legible or typed • You must have a summary of every chapter in your book. • Must be set up the correct way. • Put some effort into it. (You are going to use this later.)
