  2. G O A L This unit is designed for teaching dinosaurs to 3rd grade students. Students will identify various kinds of dinosaurs through after the unit is taught.

OBJECTIVE • *Students will be able to recognize the difference between the sprawling legs of a typical reptile and • the upright legs of dinosaurs. • *Student will be able to describe the teeth of meat-eating dinosaurs and those of the plant-eaters. • *Students will be able to recognize a variety of different dinosaur types and sizes. • *Students will be able to learn vocabulary about dinosaurs.

  4. DAY 2 • Introduce the five dinosaur books • Get into group and choose book • Read five dinosaur books in small group • A self-evaluation checklist for literacy activity time • Make a K-W-L activity time • Share a K-W-L in class

  5. DAY 3 • Reread five dinosaur books in small group • Play Dinosaur Patterns: A Math Activity • Share a math activity in class

  6. DAY 4 • Introduce how to make a book • Remind use cluster facts and topic for the dinosaur books • Being drawing and drafting • Share students’ “All About Dinosaurs” books • Get feedback
