  13. Technology Concept • ContentKeeper is based on pass-through filtering technology • Pass-through filtering requires all requests for Web pages to pass through the ContentKeeper appliance. • ContentKeeper checks each request to determine whether it should be allowed or denied.

  14. Web Site Filtering ContentKeeper has both a BUILT-IN-REAL TIME ENGINE to catch new sites as well as the industry's most up-to-date URL site CONTROL LIST

  15. Web Site Filtering ContentKeeper checks against the organization filtering policy which consists of sites, site categories, file types, media types, users, groups, network addresses, time of day

  16. Web Site Filtering • URLs already in the CONTROL LIST (Database) will be immediately filtered in accordance with the selected category status • New sites are analysed in REAL TIME and where appropriate added to the local Control List.

Multiple Filtering Policies • Up to 100 filtering policies can be defined • Users are identified for policy application by • IP address of workstation • NetBIOS and/or DNS look-up • Proxy header user name where basic authentication or NTLM (MS Proxy v.2 or ISA server) is being used • ContentKeeper Agent available to interface to an NT Domain server or Active Directory • LDAP and eDirectory (NDS) support

Closed Loop Collaborative Filtering™ • ContentKeeper units in the field are designed to call the ContentKeeper Datacentre hourly to receive control list updates of newly discovered and processed URLs. • Any new suspect URLs discovered locally, are encoded, encrypted, compressed and sent back to the Datacentre for anonymous submission to our AI, analysis and categorization engines. • Sites that are then confirmed to fall into one of the control categories are included in the Control list updates and sent out to every ContentKeeper unit in the field every hour.
