  2. myEssex for Applicants • Available for all applicants whose applications have been processed through UCAS or Postgraduate Admissions • Varying levels of information according to stage in the application process • Stage 8 = Applicant is confirmed as coming to the University • All pre-arrival information packs for these students have been directed to myEssex for Applicants to obtain information

  3. myEssex Screen • Links to other areas of myEssex: • myLearning • myAdmin • myLiving • Link to Department homepage • Link to the University, SU and Freshers homepages • Displays degree scheme + link to the programme specification • Lists key contacts within the Department & Admissions

  4. myLearning Screen • Displays degree scheme + link to the programme specification • Displays compulsory courses + link to the course catalogue • Llink to eNROL to select optional courses and view all courses for their year of study • Links to guidance to assist with selecting optional courses • Link to information about Language courses and preparatory information (if applicable), eg: Dept of Law • For international students a link to information about the English Language Tests • Links to Department homepage, the Library, Computing information & study support

  5. myAdmin Screen • Displays personal contact details • Provides an opportunity to upload a photograph to be used on the Registration & Library card • Displays degree scheme + link to the programme specification • Provides information about tuition fees, bursaries and provides a link to online payments • Provides a link to the Registration Office website

  6. myLiving Screen • Displays life and leisure information, including links to: • Accommodation Office • Job Shop • Sports Centre • SU • Health Centre + a link to information about vaccinations • Multi-faith Chaplaincy Centre • Travel information • Provides a link to the SSO and for international students a separate link to support for international students • Provides a link to the Careers Advisory Service

  7. Registration for new students • All new students will register in person at the Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall (ICLH) • Registration will take place between Tuesday, 2 October and Friday, 5 October (closing time on Friday 1.00pm) • Registration is scheduled by Department/Centre • Any new students who have not registered during Freshers’ week will be required to visit the Registry to register from Monday, 8 October

  8. Registration for returning students • Returning students can register online if: • They are a UK or EU full-time student who is eligible to apply for a student loan (whether or not they choose to take up the loan) • If they are sponsored by a recognised funding body • Online Registration will open on Monday, 1 October at 9.00am and close on Sunday, 7 October at midnight. • All eligible students will be required to register online between the dates listed

  9. Registration for returning students • Returning students cannot register online if: • They are in debt to the University • They are self-funded or privately funded and are required to pay tuition fees at the time of Registration • All students who cannot register online must register in person at the ICLH on the dates/times scheduled for their Department • Returning students who do not register during Week 1 will be required to visit the Registry to register in person in Week 2 and will be subject to a late registration fee of £40
