Metrics • Number of students consulted directly: Over 125 via phone, email, and in person • Internship/career fairs represented at: Two at UVU (October, January). United Way Volunteer Clinic • Activities: Fliers distributed for upcoming events (health fairs, free screenings, nursing dept. activities, asthma resources, Dixon clinic) • Great way to reach Hispanic population • Patients ask questions • General health materials provided in Spanish • Intern currently focusing on this project
Rape Prevention Campaign • Stats: • Of violent crimes that occur in Utah, rape is the only one in which Utah’s rate is above national average. • College women are more at risk for sexual assault than non college-bound peers. • Consists of: • Awareness campaign targeted to the campus community (college-age students at BYU and UVU): Rape: It’s happening.
