International Assembly • Governor-elect learn the RI theme for the coming year. • The president-elect’s choice of emphases • Membership and Foundation goals. • Other important information you’ll need to incorporate into your plan for the years.
Program Components • Plenary sessions • Group discussion sessions • Club and District Support sessions • Booths and Rotary displays • President-elect photo sessions and meals
Program Components • Plenary sessions . Training featuring keynote speakers and short presentations highlighted by audiovisuals. • Group discussion sessions. Discussion based on plenary session topics with about 20 other governors-elect facilitated by a training leader.
Program Components • Club and District support sessions. Small-group meetings conducted by RI staff addressing regional concerns and administrative responsibilities and resources available through RI. • Booths and Rotary displays. Resources including RI and Foundation staff, convention information, and licensed merchandise
Program Components • President-elect photo sessions and meals. Governors-elect are requested to attend special meals and photo sessions with the president-elect

Dress code • The dress code for the assembly is the business attire of participant's culture. • The following events, national dress is encourage; otherwise the appropriate attire is business suits for man (Tuxedos are optional) and formal or semiformal dress for women: - International Fellowship Dinner and Dance - International Festival Talent Night - Go Forth to serve Banquets

Spouses Program and Materials • Plenary sessions The International Assembly is vital to the training of effective district governors and spouses ;therefore attendance at all sessions is mandatory • Roundtable discussion sessions allow spouses to discuss important information about The Rotary Foundation and RI programs in small groups assembled according to language
Spouses Program and Materials • Project exhibitions An featuring effective service projects from around the Rotary world, open for both spouse and governor-elect attendance. • Cultural exchange An exhibition featuring cultural displays that demonstrate the internationality of Rotary, As well as a designate area to meet and network with fellow spouses from around the world.
Spouses Program and Materials • Service projects • Participate in an infant literacy service project. • Assembling infant literacy kits, to promote the importance of reading to young children. • President-elect D.K Lee and his spouse Young Ja request that you bring two books from your country to include as part of the kit. Please bring two picture books appropriate for infants and toddlers

Preparing for the Assembly • Review the manuals and publications received throughout the year. • Review all mailings from the RI president, president-elect, assembly moderator, and general secretary. • Arrive with specific success stories to share with other governors-elect.
Preparing Spouses for the Assembly • Talk with the current district governor’s spouse about the International Assembly. • Visit the spouses page of the District Governors Forum. • Prepare questions and success stories to share with other spouses.
