Characteristics Mercury's freezing and melting point is the same but the freezing point is in negatives. 239.32k Mercury is the only metal which is a liquid Mercury can become a solid in extremely hot temperatures Mercury’s smell is poisonous Silver Shiny Smooth
Good things Mercury is Used in Mercury is used in your phones computers I pods laptops etc, there are in these devices because they are all made up of microchips and Mercury is used in microchips. Even some boilers use Mercury instead of water to reach a higher amount of energy.
Bad things Mercury is Used in Mercury if mixed with certain other chemicals such as gold is made into fillings for the teeth. Before people didn’t mind having it in their teeth but now the dentist stopped putting it in because there might be some negative effects in the brain because of Mercury.
Where is it found? Mercury is found in an ore called Cinnabar or Calomel. These two ores are the only two which posses Mercury. Finding a pool of mercury anywhere in the world no matter what time or place is absolutely impossible. feel because Mercury can only be found in two ores it should be more expensive. All computers need Mercury so they should be more expensive that what there current price is.
Mercury in Products Mercury is usually found in electronics because it is part of the microchip. Even thought the amount of Mercury in a microchip is extremely small but the places you get Mercury are even less.
Mercury’s Contibutions If there wasn’t any Mercury in the world imagine all the things people will never be able to build anymore. Laptops, Computers, Phones anything with microchips in them can never be made again. Thinking of what would happen if something's gone is a good way to find out how much it contributed to the world.
