Larry Thomas is a 32 year law enforcement veteran retiring from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation as the Assistant Director of Special Operations. During his career he started the KBI’s Cold Case Squad and personally directed the KBI’s involvement in the BTK Serial Killer Task Force in Wichita, KS. Previously, he worked in Costa Rica on the murder of the KU student Shannon Martin, conducting an overseas criminal investigation, the first in KBI history, which led to the successful prosecution of two of Martin’s killers in a Costa Rican court. AD Thomas has served as a member, team leader and commander of the KBI SWAT Team. After his retirement from the KBI, AD Thomas joined L-3/MPRI as a Law Enforcement Professional in Afghanistan and served as a Subject Matter Expert to assist US Forces with counterterrorism missions. After his deployments AD Thomas was assigned to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, CA and the Mission Command Training Program at Fort Leavenworth, KS. AD Thomas has taught throughout the United States regarding various aspects of law enforcement and criminal investigation and has served as an adjunct professor at Washburn University in the Criminal Justice Department where he was selected as the Outstanding Adjunct Professor in the Criminal Justice Department in 2002. His investigations as a KBI Agent have been featured internationally on programs produced by American Justice and Discovery media channels. Thomas joined Paradigm Liaison Services in 2013.
