Program Background • Five Colleges: • Chandler- Gilbert Community College • Estrella Mountain Community College (lead) • Northland Pioneer College • Pima Community College • Yavapai College • Awarded a $13.5 million DOL TAACCCT grant to meet build educational programs to support an industry demand.
Why Energy? • Stable jobs: • 50 percent of the current workforce becoming eligible for retirement over the next few years • An increase in public investments toward new and renewable energy sources • Population growth in the Arizona Sun Corridor • Employers need skilled workers to fill these high-functioning, rewarding, hands-on positions

Get Started • Get enrolled as an EMCC student at my.maricopa.edu • Enroll in CPD 104 and PPT 120 • Attend an EMCC Energy Institute Student Orientation • Attend a plant tour (if available) • Declare Power Plant Technology (PPT) as your major during advising • Declare a track under PPT and continue taking degree courses
