Sri Venkateswara Jalanidhi Scheme • Overview • Sri Venkateswara Jalanidhi Scheme is a unique scheme evolved by TTD to provide adequate water for the pilgrims' use in and around Tirupati and Tirumala. • Objective • The aim of the scheme is to utilize the donations received to provide water for drinking and other basic needs to the pilgrim public. This includes the floating population at Tirumala (Panchayat) and Tirupati (Municipality). Later, this facility will be extended to people in the surrounding areas also. The funds will be utilized for purposes such as construction of dams, check dams, storage tanks, percolation tanks and to raise the available water resources.
Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust • Overview • Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust aims at providing free medical facilities to poor patients afflicted with life-threatening diseases related to the heart, kidneys and brain, for which the treatment is expensive. • The scheme also proposes to encourage research and development in the treatment of diseases/conditions like chronic renal failure, haemophilia, thalassaemia and cancer. Basic amenities including blood-bank, artificial limbs, physiotherapy, tools and implants will be provided to poor patients, free of cost. • This scheme will be applicable to all poor patients, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Treatment will be provided at all TTD-run hospitals - SVIMS, BIRRBD, SVRR and the Maternity Hospital. • To make the Trust self-sufficient, TTD will invest an amount equal to each donation collected by the Trust.
Sri Venkateswara Nitya Laddu Danam Scheme • Overview • Sri Venkateswara Nitya Laddu Danam Scheme was started in 1981. The objective of this scheme is to distribute laddu prasadam (25 gm) free of cost to all pilgrims after completion of distribution of Anna Prasadams. • Donation Amount • The devotees have to donate Rupees One Lakh and above. The interest earned on the deposits is utilized for the preparation and distribution of 25,000 laddus of 25 grams each in Donor's name on the day of their choice.
* Sri Venkateswara Nitya Annadanam Scheme • The Sri Venkateswara Nithya Annadanam Scheme provides free meals to the poor in Tirumala. • The scheme was started on a small scale in 1984, with food being served to around 2,000 persons a day. Today, free food is served to a minimum of 15,000 poor people a day. The number increases to about 25,000 to 30,000 a day during festivals and other important occasions. • Nearly 10,000 to 15,000 free food packets are distributed to the pilgrims waiting in the Vaikuntam 'Q' Complex-II for 'Srivari' darshan. The number increases to about 20,000 a day during festivals and other important occasions. Free food is also served to nearly 2000 patients a day in the TTD own SVIMS, BIRRD, Ruia and Maternity Hospitals.
Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Nitya Annaprasadam Scheme • Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi of Tiruchanoor, the divine consort of Lord Venkateswara is the immeasurable ocean of compassion and love. She is renowned as Annalaxmi, who grants peace and plenty to the seekers. • This scheme provides for the distribution of prasadam, free of cost, to pilgrims at the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, Tiruchanur, on a continuous basis, during the temple working hours. Donations can also be sent for free distribution of Annaprasadam to the pilgrims on the occasion of Panchami Theertham celebrated durng Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Annual Brahmotsavams held every year. Such donors name will be displayed at the Temple on that occasion.
Sri Venkateswara Vanabhivruddhi Scheme • The sacred forests of Tirumala are Lord Sri Venkateswara's precious gift to mankind. With a view to protect and maintain the ecological balance in the area TTD has introduced a series of exciting schemes called Sri Venkateswara Vanabhivrudhi Scheme. • An Appeal • " He that planteth a tree is the servant of God and provideth a kindness for many a generation and faces that he hath not seen shall bless Him. "
BIRRD Scheme • Sri Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) Trust is a premier medical institute, that treats patients suffering from polio myelitis, cerebral palsy, congenital anomalies, spinal injuries, and the orthopaedically handicapped. • It comprises a centrally air-conditioned hospital with the latest medical equipment, built by TTD at a cost of Rs. 4.5 crore. • BIRRD makes use of state-of-the-art medical technology and provides services to the poor, at no cost. It also distributes artificial limbs, calipers and aids, free of cost, to the needy and the poor.
Cottage Donation Scheme • There is a steady influx of pilgrims to Tirumala every year. To meet the demand for accommodation, TTD constructs cottages, guest houses, and choultries in Tirumala. • The cottage donation scheme provides for the construction of units of accommodation like cottages and guest houses. Udayasthamana Sarva Seva Scheme • Under this scheme, donors are permitted to attend all rituals and sevas performed for Lord Sri Venkateswara on a day of their choice. • Endowment Amount • Rs.1 lakh (Rupees one lakh only). If the seva is to be performed on a Friday, the endowment amount is Rs. 3 lakh (Rupees three lakh only). • The donor and his family will be given accommodation free of cost, at Tirumala for three days in a year. • The donor and his family (not exceeding six persons) will be admitted for all sevas including the arjitha sevas on the notified day. • One sesha vasthram will be presented. • 25 laddus and 5 vadas will be given. • Note: This scheme has been temporarily stopped
Sri Balaji Arogyavaraprasadini Scheme • The Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), set up by TTD, is a sophisticated, super-speciality centre, which provides the most advanced medical technology to the needy. Apart from offering services, training and education in medical sciences, it also encourages Research and Development. • To bring state-of-the-art medical services to the poor and needy, SVIMS has introduced the Balaji Arogyavaraprasadini Scheme.
Vimsathi Varsha Darshan Scheme • Under this scheme, the donor and his party (not exceeding six persons in all) will be allowed for darshan during Suprabhatam, Archanananthara Darshan/Nijapada Darshan, for two consecutive days in a calendar year.They will also be allowed to attend the Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva like other gruhasthas • Dasa Varsha Darshan Scheme • Under this scheme, the donor and his party (not exceeding six persons in all) will be allowed for darshan during Suprabhatam, Archanananthara Darshan/Nijapada Darshan, for two consecutive days in a calendar year.
Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust • The Lord did it, we do it. Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust is established for protecting the cow and emphasizing the spiritual importance of the cow apart from its economic aspect. • "The Cow is the greatest blessing of Human race, lands grow rich, Homes grow and civilization advances where the Cow is kept and cared for." • The Trust also aims at improving the living conditions of cows outside Goshala by providing technical inputs to the general public.
Sri Venkateshwara Balamandir Trust Scheme • The T.T.Devasthanams has undertaken various social and welfare activities in fulfillment of its Motto of "SERVING TO LORD BY SERVING HUMANITY" with a view to give a helping hand to the destitutes and orphans, the TTD has established Sri Venkateswara Balamandir in Tirupati in the year 1943. • The TTD has created a separate Trust for improving this Institution with the following objects. (a) To run an Orphanage for Orphans, Destitutes and Disadvantaged Children of both sexes; (b) To provide free accommodation and boarding to Orphans, Destitutes and Disadvantaged Children; and (c) To provide free education to Orphans, Destitutes and Disadvantaged Children.
