MPS Policy 3310 – Business Partner Diversity The Minneapolis Board of Education voted on September 14, 2010 to implement a policy that enhances equal employment and business opportunities for minorities, women and diverse communities. Business Partner Diversity, Policy 3310, promotes the participation of businesses owned and operated by minorities, women and diverse communities in the school district’s procurement of contracts for goods and services. The policy is a proactive effort of the Minneapolis Public School district to partner with and foster economic development in the Minneapolis community. 4. Business Partner Diversity Program Minneapolis Public School District is committed to providing business opportunities for minority and women business enterprises (M/WBEs) and other diverse businesses. We serve a student, parent and community base with a wide range of backgrounds and increasingly diverse needs.  In serving these needs, it is critical that we forge lasting relationships with diverse business partners in order to create mutually beneficial relationships. The MPS Business Diversity Strategy is designed to foster relationships and create business opportunities for the most qualified diverse suppliers that will help us achieve our goals. http://diversebusiness.mpls.k12.mn.us/
