  4. Les Adjectifs • In French, adjectives must agree with the nouns they describe in two ways: • gender (masculine or feminine) • number (singular or plural)

  5. Les Adjectifs • They do this by adding certain letters to the end of the masculine singular form of the adjective. For many adjectives: for masculine plural, add –s for feminine singular, add –e for feminine plural, add –es

  9. D’autres Adjectifs • Other adjectives in French have the same form regardless of whether they are describing masculine or feminine nouns. • These adjectives do not need a spelling change to show gender • They do, however, still add an –s for plural.
