3rd week of SeptemberWorkshop Effective searching with the UvA-Library Check your bag foryourregistration! The workshop is meant as: • 1) an occasion to get to know the University Library’s main facilities; • 2) a moment for group discussion on some crucial issues for the academic world: evaluating information, plagiarism; • 3) an opportunity for testing search skills relevant to Communication: literature reviews on a specific topic (PsycINFO), news (LexisNexis); • 4) an introductory workshop to Refworks, a software that enables you to manage references and to use them in a word processor such as MS Word. • 5) reference style, based on the rules and guidelines of the APA (American Psychological Association).
