The QEC in KMU has been established in December,2009 • The KMU own new building is under construction in which a full-fledged portion will be allocated to QEC in KMU. Currently, the Offices of the QEC officals are housed in the Establismnet Section . Status of establishment of QEC Office
The Cell is headed by Prof. Dr. Shad Muhammad as Director, QEC and Syed Hafeez Ahmad as Deputy Director, QEC (both on additional charge basis) • The posts of Director, QEC and Dy. Director, QEC were advertised twice in the national dailies as per the following eligibility criteria: Recruitment of staff
Very few applications were received for both the positions of Director and Deputy Director and were found in-eligible. • As a result these positions were advertized again. • We are about to advertize it again next week. • However the positions of Data Analyst and Naib Qaisd have been filled • Meanwhile the University Senate sanctioned these positions Recruitment of staff
The following office equipment have been purchased fulfilling all codal formalities. • One Laptop Computer • One Desktop Computer • One Photocopier • One Fax Machine • One Printer Procurement of office equipment

The following Institutions were selected for Internal Self Assessment: • Institute of Public Health & Social Sciences • Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation • Post Graduate College of Nursing • As an initial step, the Vision, Mission, Objectives and Functions of the QEC, KMU and it’s constituent institutes were framed by the respective authorities which were approved by the University Academic Council on18 May 2010 and by the Senate on 29 June 2010. The QEC office is currently housed in the Establishment Block which will take time before the same is shifted to its own building . • The posts of Director and Dy. Director, QEC are being re-advertised for the 3rd time and during the transitional period the Director Academics and Dy. Registrar Establishment are engaged to look after the official business of QEC on additional charge basis. Issues
