  2. Key Words • Annotate means to add to a resource with descriptive (what something looks like, where it is, what it is next to) and explanatory (reasons why it is like this) notes.

  3. Outcomes • You MUST produce a final presentation of maps on PowerPoint (VLE upload) of their work • You SHOULD be able to annotate the work • You COULD analyse the patterns found.

  4. For this lesson you will need… • Two or three interesting photographs from your previous holidays. Make sure they are interesting and detailed.

  6. Tasks • Review the annotated sketch on page 6 of Geography Matters 1

  7. Tasks • Review the annotated photo on page 54 of Key Geography Skills

  8. Tasks • Choose your most appropriate photo to annotate • Place it in the centre of the page (Sugar paper or digitally) • Annotate your photos with arrows and text boxes • Your writing MUST include descriptions • Your writing SHOULD include explanations • Your writing COULD include questions and analysis of patterns / themes
