  3. Agricultural Issues • Team (3 - 7 members) • Presentation on: • Environmental Issues • Agricultural Technology Issues • Animal Issues • Agricultural Career Issues • Economy and Trade Issues • Agricultural Policy Issues • Food Safety Issues • Make Portfolio • Maximum 15 min, then 5 min Q&A

  4. Creed Speaking • Individual • Effectively deliver Creed • 4 min, then 5 min Q&A

  5. Demonstration • Team 2 or 3 members • Demonstrate 4 practical procedures in topic • 10 min – 15 min • 5 min Q & A • You get to wear costumes!!!

  6. Extemporaneous Public Speaking • Individual • Choose and Research: • Natural Resources and Environmental Stewardship • Global Agriculture and Ag-Marketing • Agriscience and Technology • Food and Fiber • Pull question at contest • 30 min to prepare 4-5 min speech

  7. Job Interview • Individual • Fill application out (at contest) for a position you are qualified for • MUST have resume • Must have letters of recommendation • 15 min for application • 10 – 15 min for interview

  9. Greenhand Conduct of Meetings • Teams (7 members) • Open to first year members • 8 – 10 min • Conduct meeting according to Robert’s Rules of Order 10th Edition

  10. Parliamentary Procedure • Team (5 – 7 members) • Conduct meeting according to Robert’s Rules of Order 10th Edition • Similar to Greenhand Conduct of Meetings • All members • Much more in depth • 8 – 10 min

  11. Greenhand Public Speaking • Individual • Open to first year members • Choose and Research ag subject • Prepare and MEMORIZE speech • Note cards = mark down • No visual aids • 6 – 8 min with 5 min Q & A

  12. Public Speaking • Individual • Very similar to Greenhand Public Speaking • Open to all members • Graded harder • 6 – 8 min with 5 min Q & A
