2007 - FITA Coaching Education Project • Objective: • To further develop the coaching knowledge/capabilities of the candidates in an individual and personalised way • Partner: • Olympic Solidarity • Deliverables: • Coaching Education Course at the FITA Middle East Archery Centre (One Month) • Level 1 – Equipment donation – For each of the Member Associations where the coaches come from
2007 - FITA Coaching Education Project Key Dates • 30th June 2007 -Deadline for receiving MA confirmation • Coaching Courses at the FITA-MEAC • Asia and Oceania – October 2007 • Africa – November 2007 • The Americas – TBC • Equipment Donation • December 2007
2007 - 2008 African Qualification Tournament Scholarship Project • Objective: • To enable more African Archers to participate at the Olympic Continental Qualifying Tournament (OCQT) and hopefully the 2008 Olympic Games • Partners: • Justice for Athletes (JFA) • Deliverables: • Training Camp at the FITA Middle East Archery Centre (Two weeks) • Participation Grants towards the OCQT (Following the Training Camp)
2007 - 2008 African Qualification Tournament Scholarship ProjectBeneficiaries • Country Profile: Priority will be given to: • All African MAs* - excluding Egypt, South Africa and Libya • MAs with good Archery development and fair play programmes • Athlete Profile: FITA will select up to 18 archers from the applications received based on the following criteria: • Gender equity • Level of archer – Minimum score of 1150 points • Maximum of 1 male archer and 1 female archer per MA • The national coach will be invited when the male and female archers are juniors* *No more than 10 coaches will be invited in total
2008 - 2009 - Mediterranean Games Project Objective: To maintain and strengthen Archery within the Mediterranean Games Programme Partners: Justice for Athletes (JFA) or OS Deliverables: Training Camp at the FITA Middle East Archery Centre (Two weeks) Equipment Donation
