What is the IFT and IFTSA? Professional association for food scientists • Community of students studying food science and technology • Over 2300 members • 8 Areas and 55 Chapters • Area meetings in spring (University of Delaware) • Annual Meeting in Summer (New Orleans, June 11-14, 2011)

I Want to be an Active Member!! • Attend ½ of all club meetings (~13 meetings total) 2. Serve on at least one FSC committee 3. Scoop ≥ 3 shifts at Dairy Bar
Recent Changes to the By-laws Section 3.2 Eligibility • Active Members are required to work three (3) 3-hour shifts at the CLUB annual fundraiser, Dairy Bar. • Students unableto work any Dairy Bar shifts may serve actively on a second committee and attend one (1) public service event to qualify for active membership. Students only able to work one (1) shift may serve actively on a second committee to qualify for active membership. Students only able to work two (2) shifts may attend one (1) public service event to qualify for active membership.
