Iio T.Hashimoto on Dec.10 Atomic orbits of Kaonic Helium 3 3d 3d 2p X-rays DE2p: Shift G2p: Width (Strong-interaction) 2p absorption (Coulomb-only) 2p Nucleus Last orbit of Kaonic atoms is sensitive to K--nucleus strong-interaction.

K- 3He K-pp n Reaction + + L Decay p- p p NC 15 m M. iio, Slide for PANIC08 E15: Next to E17 Y.Sada on Dec.10 Missing mass spectroscopy K-ppsearch with TOF measurement of neutron Decay particle measurement K-ppsearch with exclusive decay particle measurement K-pp state is investigated in K-+3He -> Lp + n well distinguished final state. L is always attributed to K- in the initial state.

  30. Location of E16 : High-p beam line SM1: branched by 5° 2% beam loss is allowed Vertical Bend 3.9° 5.8°x3 Already the spectrometer magnet has been moved to Hadron Hall. Budget being requested. R&D for the actual beam line is underway. Experimental Area beam dump Beam dump and shields are for 1010 protons/s 30

Summary • J-PARC has started its operational era! • 4 beam lines, K1.8, K1.8BR, KL, and K1.1BR, are completed. • K1.8 & SKS: Hypernuclear Physics Experiments E19 has finished the step-1 data-taking. • K1.8BR: E17/E15 are being started. • KL: K rare decay experiment (KL->p0nnbar) started its engineering run. • K1.1BR: Commissioning and some test exp. started. • We are requesting to construct K1.1 and High-p lines
