OUTCOME AREA 4: Promoting Self-Sustaining Development Planned Outcome Progress towards result Capacity of agri communities/coops and local institutions to provide effective and efficient delivery of extension services on propagation of sustainable agriculture management and natural resource conservation and protection strengthened. 83 PDCs sustainable agri-based livelihood projects involving 85 POs in 14 provinces of Mindanao were assisted; 3,583 group members benefited involving 2,816 male and 767 female farmers Planned Result Priority PDCs managing and implementing community-based agricultural/production projects through crop diversification and provision of agricultural inputs and production inputs 617 women representing 24% of the total beneficiaries engaged in agri-related IGPs.

OUTCOME AREA 4: Promoting Self-Sustaining Development Planned Outcome Progress towards result Capacity of agri communities/coops and local institutions to provide effective and efficient delivery of extension services on propagation of sustainable agriculture management and natural resource conservation and protection strengthened. 32 Agricultural Training courses increased technical knowledge and skills of 1,161 individual farmers. These trained farmers were also equipped to serve as eco-volunteers in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and sound environment management. Planned Result Priority PDCs managing and implementing community-based agricultural/production projects through crop diversification and provision of agricultural inputs and production inputs

  3. 1,161 farmers (1,004 males and 157 females) were trained on various agriculture-related courses / technology options. 32 agricultural training courses were conducted, 2 of which were on SALT. OUTCOME AREA 4: Promoting Self-Sustaining Development Component Goal Progress towards result To increase incomes in PDCs from livelihood opportunities and employment through community enterprises and entrepreneurship in agriculture-related activities Planned Result Capacities of agricultural communities, cooperatives and local institutions including LGUs to provide effective & efficient services on propagation of sustainable agriculture management & natural resource conservation& protection strengthened

Progress Towards Higher Level Results Component Goal Progress towards result To build confidence for peace and development through the promotion of the culture of peace Out of 182 communities assisted---considered as conflict-prone, only 7 were affected by recent armed-conflict between the AFP & MILF Planned Result 151 PDC Peace Declarations forged and 9 Sanctuaries of Peace established A positive environment, mutual thrust and confidence among stakeholders for lasting peace in Mindanao built. PDCs serve as models for peace 5 Provincial-level Peace Agenda and a sector-wide IP-Moro Peace Agenda crafted. COP promotion through functional literacy, community radio, peace dialogues and IEC
