Introduction • How are Jupiter and Saturn different? • Did you know that Jupiter is surrounded by one faint ring that is not visible from earth? • Did you know that Saturn has a thousand rings, and one of them can be seen from earth. • Scientist have identified 16 moons orbiting Jupiter, and at least 18 moons orbiting Saturn. • Jupiter and Saturn are alike and different in many ways. • Continue to read for further exploration.

AFTER READING • Use the graphic organizer to plan your compare/contrast paragraph. Under the name of each planet list the ways the planets are different. In the space where the circles overlap, list the ways the planets are alike. Follow this link to the Venn Diagram.
After Reading Print both your graphic organizer and venn diagram to use as a tool to write a compare/contrast paragraph about Jupiter and Saturn in your writing journals. Remember to tell how the planets are alike, then state how the planets are different.
