  4. Food Safety Risk Analysis Summer Integrated Program (SIP) Fellowship • Build capacity in food safety and risk analysis and expand international collaboration • Offers training in food safety risk assessment, management and communication, and quantitative risk assessment methodology

  5. Food Safety Risk Analysis Summer Integrated Program (SIP) Fellowship • Conducted in College Park annually (June), 2/3 weeks • Applicants must • Have appropriate background and need • From a country that meets World Bank criteria • Cover cost of travel, lodging and meals • Be in a position to implement learnings

Food Safety Risk Analysis Summer Integrated Program (SIP) Fellowship • JIFSAN currently has funds to support one applicant • Cost is $3,690 or $5,850 per applicant • Proposed funding options for fellowship: • Individual company(s) fund fellowship(s) • Collectively fund fellowship(s) from increased membership fees • Individual(s)

  7. Food Safety Risk Analysis Training Fellowship • ILSI Focal Point in China/Coca Cola Joint Training Program on Risk Assessment will sponsor Dr. Jianghui Zhu for a 3 month mentoring program

  8. Commercially Sterile Packaged Foods (CSPF) Program • Developed with support from Campbell Soup, Kraft Foods and General Mills • One week course focused on • In-depth review of U.S. regulatory requirements and inspection practices • Thermal processing principles and process establishment • Industry best practices

  9. Commercially Sterile Packaged Foods (CSPF) Program • Training conducted in • Morocco (2010) • China (2010 & 2011) • Seeking additional partners to update and expand CSPF • Develop BPCS training course for international processors
