Utilizing carbon targets and a polarimeter detector system to measure beam profile and emittance, comparing and validating IPM and cross-section based values. This study focuses on deuteron beam characteristics, beam emittance, and beam profile analysis at injection energy using target scan mode. The work includes measuring emittance at different positions separated by 500 microns, adjusting timing for DAQ accuracy, and combining emittance measurements with IPM data.

Carbon Polarimeter Study The purpose of the study was to use the carbon targets and polarimeter detector system to measure the beam profile and emittance to compare and validate the IPM and cross section based emittance values.

Work to do • Things look good now, but we need more APEX time to set the timing of the DAQ correctly. • Measure from 1 to 20 to 95 bunches. • Measure emittance at store. • Combine emittance measurements with IPM on the same beam.
