BUILDING PLAN Home design begins with a floor plan. A floor plan is typically a drawing that shows you the layout of your home from above. Floor plan involves choosing the built-up area, deciding upon number of rooms, walls, doors, windows, stairs, fixed installations such as bathroom fixtures, wardrobes, kitchen cabinetry, and other architectural features blended with ancient principles of Vastu(Ancient Indian science). Types of floor plan 2D Floor plan A 2D floor plan is a drawing that shows the layout of a home or building from above. A 2D home plan incorporates the dimensions of rooms, walls, spaces and other features at only one level of a structure. A 2D house plan is bereft of perspective or depth. 3D Floor plan A 3D floor plan is a software generated diagram that shows the layout of the building in 3D. In 3D, the floor plan shows both perspective and height. A 3D building plan is more realistic and visualisation is easier.
