  4. It includes four major rivers: Meuse River, Moselle River, Meurthe River, and the Saone River. Surrounded by the regions: Alsace(east), Franche-Comte(south), and Champagne-Ardenne(west). Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium are to the north. More…..Geography

  11. In 1776, it became part of France’s government control. In 1870, when the French lost the Franco-Prussian War Germany took Lorraine. After World War One, Lorraine retuned to France. During World War Two, Germany once again took Lorraine. Confirmed by the Treaty of Versailles, France had Lorraine back, and has had it ever since 1919. More….History
