Disadvantages of Globes • Too big, awkward to carry around • Cannot show the whole world at one time

Maps: Disadvantages • Every map has DISTORTIONS. • Distorts, or change, the accuracy of shapes and distances.

No map is completely accurate BUT all maps can be useful for certain purposes.
Map Advantages • Show small areas in great detail • Transport easily
Map Advantages • Display different types of information, such as population densities or natural resources or climate, etc.
