  4. Facts about LPP Company LPP was established in the year 1901 as Little Railway Company LPP was runninguntil now: - tram system - trolley system - bus system Now we are using only buses but those are used as city as well as regional public transport

  5. Area covered by LPP • 27 lines • Total length 330 km • 35.000 km average per day • 9% of Slovene area • 20% of Slovene inhabitants • COL + 17 municipalities

  6. Situation before CIVITAS ELAN Another project: - CIVITAS MOBILIS (2004 - 2008) about bio-diesel • Only few buses with internal or external cameras • More injuries and biggervandalismcosts • No brochures addressed to seniors • No senior trainings • No driver trainings

Measure - Safety and Security for Seniors and PT Users What: • Bring the safety and security of PT users tohigher level • Lower the number of injuries • Lower the cost of vandalism acts How: • Video – surveillance system • Visual announcing system • Voice announcing system • Senior trainings & workshops • Driver trainings

Video – surveillance, visual and voice announcing systems Main benefits: • Video – surveyedthe whole vehicle • Driver has video control in door area • Busstops are announced Main results related to this • More than half of the fleet is equipped with those systems • All further public tenders will be issued with those mandatory systems

Trainings and workshops for seniors Trainings, Workshops • European Mobility Week (2010 LPP Open Door events, 2011 3 events in down town „Safe on the bus“) • 2 events in City Districts during summer and autumn 2011 • 1 event in the seniors‘ home in last winter • Brochure „Safe on the Bus“ Future plans • Visit seniors‘ homes in Ljubljana • Address seniors‘ clubs • Have workshops on the 1st Thursdays in month in LPP

  11. Trainings and workshops for drivers Situation up to now • 2 drivers workshops until 2011 • 14 workshops for drivers in 2011 • 7 workshops for drivers in 2012 Future plans - On yearly workshops train all drivers (normally from January to March)
