3 Important Questions • “Who are you and where do you come from?”(Josh 9:8) • “Where have you come from and where are you going?”(Gen. 16:8)
Who Are You? • You are a living breathing soul • Created in the image of God (Gen. 1:26-27) • So valuable God sent His Son to die for you (John 3:16; Rom. 5:8) • What kind of person are you?
Where Did You Come From? • You are not an accident or mistake! • God knew you before you were born (Jer. 1:5) • You were wonderfully & purposefully made (Psa. 139:13-14) • In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Gen. 1:1f)
Where Did You Come From? • You are not the product of aliens, monkeys, chance or evolution! • There must be a first cause = God • Design demands a designer = God • Cause and effect = God • Mind over matter = God • Something cannot come from nothing = God • “The fool has said in his heart there is no God” (Psa. 14:1)
God Created World in 6 Days • 6 Days Not 6 Billion Days! • Text says days not millions of years • Days defined by “morning” & “evening” (Gen. 1:4) • If each day is millions of years, then God rested millions of years on 7th day after creating man • Other passages teach days not millions of years (Exod. 20:11; 31:17)
