Box 105, Yuseong, Daejeon, South Korea INTRODUCTION COMPUTER PROGRAMMING There are some kind of thermoluminescence (TL) glow curve deconvolution software such as GCA and GlowFit. They perform very well to analysis the curve of TL dosimetry (TLD). But all of them could be accepted in restrict circumstance. One of restrictions is the glow curve data should be acquired by the linear heating profile. Another one is that the TL material should have a nice behavior so called order of kinetics. We have developed another method to overcome such restrictions. The new method is based on a general approximation (GA) which assumes only that the concentration of the electrons in the conduction band is negligible when compared with the concentration of the electrons in the traps. Deconvolution Method • Adopt efficient two dimensional interpolation method when calculate f(t). • g’(n) < 0, g”(n) > 0 g-1(x) can be calculated rapidly by Newton method. • Non linear regression : Simplex Method and finally Hessian Method. Special Feature • Use graphics user interface (GUI) environment, Can apply arbitrary temperature profile, • Can analyze multiple set of glow data (one kind of TL material, a variety of exposure and heating) TL KINETICS RESULT OF DECONVOLUTION Generated TL glow data Kinetic parameters for various model • of FI vs. a fitted by GA+ and MOK and a of FI vs. b fitted by GOK TLD-100TL glow data. (Cs-137 100mGy, b = 1.0 K/sec) General Approximation Plus (GA+) TLD-100 kinetic parameters for peak 5 CONCLUSIONS • An efficient computer program, TLAnal, has been developed by the GA+ algorithm. The performance of the program has been enhanced by fast algorithms. • The program is designed to be easily used on any MS Windows-based computer with a graphical user interface. This software is designed for the deconvolution of the TL glow curves with not only the GA+ but also the GA, the MOK, the traditional first-order kinetics(1OK), the second-order kinetics(2OK) and the general-order kinetics(GOK). • There is no restriction in the temperature profile, this program can be used in the case where the temperature changes linearly as well as arbitrarily. • By this program, the glow curve data of some material such as quartz, feldspar and LiF:Mg,Cu.Si could be analyzed precisely. A full functional version of this program and example files can be freely downloaded from the web site http://physica.gnu.ac.kr/TLanal.
