Parks and Recreation • Visit one of the many parks or recreational areas: • Kirby park • Established in 1921; this park hosts numerous events such as, the annual Cherry Blossom Festival, and a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display. • The Tubs Nature Park • Go for a hike along Wheelbarrow Run Stream, on this 500 acre nature area. • Coal Street Park • Contains a playground, six tennis courts, four baseball fields, a softball field, and a horseshoe pit.

Special Events • College town Party on the square • NEPA’s premier annual college event draws record crowds. • Networking and internship opportunities • Fine Arts Fiesta • Exhibitions of architecture, sculpture, painting, and drawing • See performances of theater , dance, and music • Cherry Blossom Festival • Weekend long event held every April in Kirby Park • Features music, crafts and food vendors • Farmers Market • Purchase fresh produce from local farmers • Runs every weekend all summer on Public Square • Independence Day Fireworks Display • Celebrate the 4th in Kirby Park
