This proposal outlines the development of GenderInfo, a global database that compiles standard gender indicators and promotes the efficient dissemination of gender statistics at the national level. Based on the DevInfo platform, GenderInfo aims to increase accessibility and use of gender statistics, while bringing together sources of data and indicators. The project faces challenges such as agreeing on comprehensive indicators, coordinating multiple sources, and establishing a common global framework. The future of GenderInfo includes continuous publication of global gender statistics, creation of national and regional GenderInfo platforms, and endorsement by the United Nations community.
