Earthquakes are inevitables but damage caused by themis not. Many peoplethink thatthe destruction causedby earthquakes is inevitable, and our onlyoption isto lift the pieces afterthe shaking. No!The damage and lossescaused by earthquakes may be limited to steps you can take before,during andafter.
Some also think that all the damage and injuries from earthquakes are caused by collapsed buildings. Not again! As the buildings are better designed, many of the losses during earthquakes are caused by objects that break or fall on people, causing injuries.
Here I will show you some important safety measures you should take before, during and after the earthquake, for your protectionand theprotection of your family.
People and their families should know in advance the areas of internal and external security in their homes or offices.
You should clean the edges of roofs blunt objects (pots, wood or other).
Conduct an assessment of the structure of your home or office. Indicate your flight and safety zones.
